Major Statue of India

Statue of Equality

• “Statue of Equality” is a huge statue of Ramanujacharya in Hyderabad.

         

• India celebrates his 1,000^th birth anniversary as ‘Festival of Equality’

• This statue is installed on a 54 feet high building or base called ‘Bhadravedi’.

• It is a 216 feet high statue, which is made of ‘Panchlauh’ i.e. a combination of five metals – gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc.

• The Statue of Equality is the second tallest statue in the world in a sitting posture.

• The statue of Sitting Buddha in Thailand has the status of the tallest statue in the world.

Statue of knowledge

• “Statue of Knowledge” is a 70 feet high statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Latur (Maharashtra).

• The Statue of Knowledge has been constructed by erecting a steel structure with the help of fiber.

Statue of peace, Jammu kashmir

• The Statue of Peace is a statue of Swami Ramanujacharya located in Srinagar.

• Swami Ramanujacharya was a Vedic philosopher and social reformer and traveled throughout India and emphasized the principles of equality and social justice.

Statue of Peace, Rajasthan

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met Jainacharya Shri through video conferencing.

• Statue of Peace unveiled to commemorate the   151st birth anniversary of Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj.

• The 151 inch high Ashtadhatu ‘Statue of Peace’ (Shanti Pratima) has been installed at the Vijay Vallabh Sadhana Center located in Pali, Rajasthan.

• This statue made of eight metal is 27 feet high from the ground. Its weight is 1300 kg.

• The statue to be unveiled in the honor of Jainacharya Shri Vijay Vallabh Surishwar Ji Maharaj has been named ‘Statue of Peace’.

Statue of prosperity

 

• The ‘Statue of Prosperity’ is a 108 feet tall bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, the founder of Bengaluru, on the premises of the Bangalore International Airport.।

• It is built to commemorate Kempegowda’s contribution to the development of the city.

• The height of this statue has been recorded in the World Book of Records.

Statue of unity

• The statue of Unity was built in honor of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

• It was inaugurated on 31^st Oct 2018 on the occasion of the 143^rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

             .

• The Statue of Unity is the tallest statue in the world (182 metres). It is 23 meters taller than China’s Spring Temple Buddha statue and almost twice the height of America’s Statue of Liberty (93 meters tall).

• It is situated on Sadhu Bet island of Narmada river.

• The Statue of Unity was designed by sculptor Ram V Sutar.

Vishwas Swaroopam : Nathdwara

• The world’s tallest Shiva statue ‘Vishvas Swaroopam’ of 369 feet has been inaugurated on the             holy land of Shrinath j in Nathdwara in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan on 29 October

• This 369 feet high statue built on Ganesh Tekri of Nathdwara has been a part of the dream project.
