Air India SATS launches logistics park at Bengaluru airport
- AISATS BLR Logistics Park, one of the largest on-airport logistics parks in South India, was inaugurated at Kempegowda International Airport.
- The logistics park was constructed with an investment of ₹ 200 crore by Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS), an airport services management company.
- The park is spread across eight acres within the airport.
Juvenile Colossal Squid Sighting
- A team of scientists, on board a research vessel in the South Atlantic, recorded a juvenile colossal squid, only a foot long, 2,000 feet under the ocean’s surface.
- First identified in 1925 from arm fragments found in a sperm whale’s stomach.
- Until now, no footage existed of a live colossal squid in its natural deep-sea environment.
- It is up to 7 meters (23 feet) long and 500 kg weight.
New Delhi: 38th meeting of Central Advisory Board of Archaeology
- The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will convene the 38th meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Archaeology (CABA) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- The event is being organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.
- Established in 1945 by the Government of India.
- The current Minister of Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, also serves as the Chairman of the CABA.
IAF Surya Kiran air show dazzles Patna skies, tribute to Kunwar Singh
- In Bihar, the Surya Kiran team of the Indian Air Force enthralled people at Patna by mesmerising aerobatic performances and a splendid Airshow.
- The programme is being organised on the occasion of Valour Day Vijayotsav of Babu Kunwar Singh and marks the reverence to the great freedom fighter of the 1857 revolution in Bhojpur in Bihar.

Simranpreet Kaur wins maiden senior international medal with silver
- In Shooting, India’s Simranpreet Kaur Brar has clinched her maiden senior international medal with a silver in the women’s 25m pistol event at the International Shooting Sport Federation, ISSF World Cup in Lima, Peru.
- Gold: Sun Yujie (China).
- Broze: Yao Qianxun (China).
- This marks India’s fourth silver medal at the Lima World Cup, adding to the country’s tally of two golds and one bronze.
Undertrial Period Cannot Be Counted for Remission
- The Kerala High Court has observed that a convict cannot claim remission of sentence for the period during which he/she remained an undertrial prisoner prior to conviction.
- Remission refers to the reduction of the duration of a sentence without changing the nature of the sentence itself.

India’s DBT system yields Rs. 3.48 lakh crore in savings
- India’s Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system has resulted in cumulative savings of Rs. 3.48 lakh crore by plugging leakages in welfare delivery, reveals a new report by the BlueKraft Digital Foundation.
- The findings, endorsed by the Ministry of Finance, underscore the transformative impact of DBT on public spending efficiency, subsidy rationalisation, and social inclusion.
PM Modi to Flag Off Namo Bharat, Amrit Bharat 2.0 Trains in Bihar
- Indian Railways is set to introduce Namo Bharat Rapid Rail from Jaynagar to Patna in Bihar and Amrit Bharat 2.0 from Saharsa Junction in Bihar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Maharashtra.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off these trains via video conferencing during an event at Madhubani in Bihar.
